During the month of April and the first weekend of May, VÍVID offers a selection of the most unique wine tourism proposals that can be experienced on the Costa Brava. Roses will be present with a program in hybrid format that combines virtual and face-to-face activities. A great opportunity to get to know the wine richness of the town from different angles and the good know-how of its producers, with proposals that combine culture, heritage and nature organized by Turisme de Roses and wineries of the DO Empordà.
The start of the activities in Roses will take place tomorrow, Saturday 10 April, with the virtual guided tour that the Tourism Department offers to one of the jewels of Rosinc's heritage: the Castell de la Trinitat, recently turned into a museum. At the end of the visit, it is proposed to enjoy a tasting from home by purchasing the wines Quinze Roures and Terra Negre from the Espelt winery, learning to pair them following the expert advice of Anna Espelt . The visit will take place at 12 and will be broadcast on the social networks of VisitRoses (Facebook, Youtube and Instagram).
VII DO Empordà Wine Show with activities for all ages
The DO Empordà Wine Show reaches its seventh edition this year on Sunday 25 April, continuing with the aim of publicizing the local products and contributing to the growing interaction between tourism and oenology. The stage chosen on this occasion will be the esplanade located in front of the sea door of the Citadel of Roses, where you can taste different oenological products made by renowned wineries in our region from 11 to 15 hours.
Families will also be able to have a good time participating in Vi-Kids activities, with participation in art workshops related to the world of wine. The little ones will also have room, thanks to the craft workshop that will be held in the Vi-Baby area for children under 3 years.
Other members of the Marketing Club Ruta del Vi DO Empordà of the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Pirineu de Girona, also organize activities in Roses within the framework of the Vivid. This is the case of visits to vineyards in Cap de Creus where the oenological history of the Empordà is paired with a wine tasting; the activity of observing vine birds with wine tasting; the family activity “The Greek game of wine” in the Citadel, which allows you to get to know in a fun way how children from other eras lived and played; and stays with themed cultural visits. All information on these activities is available at this link .
As a whole, the Vívid proposes in its seventh edition some sixty wine tourism activities that will transform the Alt and Baix Empordà into the epicenter of wine tourism in Catalonia. Always following all health protocols, mostly outdoors and with reduced capacity.
This promotional initiative promoted by the Patronat de Turisme Costa Brava Girona of the Diputació de Girona, receives the support and participation of the Regulatory Council of the DO Empordà , wineries of the DO Empordà, town councils and tourism companies in the territory, as well as the hundred members which make up the DO Empordà Wine Route Marketing Club .
